What does Set top box mean?
A set-top box (STB) is an external additional device that is connected to a television to receive and convert digital signals (cable, satellite, Internet) and enable advanced functions such as streaming, video-on-demand or time shift (replay). It acts as an interface, often called an “add-on device,” and makes non-smart televisions internet-enabled.
