What does Wastage mean?

The difference between the total reach of a medium and the target group actually reached. Wastage occurs when people come into contact with an advertising message for whom the advertised product or service is irrelevant (e.g. advertising for baby products in a men’s magazine). High wastage means low cost efficiency for the campaign.
