Corporate Social Responsibility

Corporate Social Responsibility
Social responsibility and the promotion of innovation are two core corporate values for us at Goldbach Neo OOH AG. Protecting the environment, the climate and people is therefore more than just an aspiration – it is part of our strategy. That is why we continuously work to firmly embed sustainability as a guiding principle across all areas of our business.
Environmental goals
We are committed to continuously improving our environmental impact, promoting environmentally friendly technologies and consistently pursuing our environmental goals. Wherever possible, we minimise environmental impacts and promote the responsible use of natural resources.

Environmental policy
Sustainability of outdoor advertising
Every advertising medium requires energy and has an ecological footprint. Compared with all advertising media, outdoor advertising has the best energy balance. This CO2 calculation takes the entire lifecycle into account—from building the advertising site and posting the campaign through to dismantling and, ultimately, recycling the advertising medium. By contrast, calculations for TV or online advertising capture only the emissions directly caused.

Electricity consumption comparison
In Switzerland in 2021, the entire OOH industry accounted for only around 1.5% of the energy balance of nationwide street lighting. That is 6 GWh out of a total of 403 GWh.
Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) criteria in tenders
Hardly any other media category pays as much attention to ESG criteria as outdoor advertising providers. Public tenders for concessions from cities and transport operators usually require criteria catalogues that take environmental aspects, equality and social factors into account. Posting concepts also help ensure a balanced, high-quality cityscape for everyone.
Committed to our community
Our commitment to society is reflected in a wide range of projects. We advocate for liveable cities and municipalities, trust in the creative industries and biodiversity.
Interactive public and visitor information
With our Smart City Services, we combine digital innovation with inclusivity and smart infrastructure – creating added value for the entire population. CityMap in Zurich, Lucerne and Locarno is a non-commercial, interactive, barrier-free and intuitive service. On the public screens with barrier-free access, you will find interactive wayfinding, various points of interest and real-time public transport departure times in four languages.
Platform for the creative industries
Together with the Fachklasse Grafik Luzern, we showcase just how creative and meaningful the craft of poster design is. In the “Blickwechsel” exhibition, newcomers to the creative industries have the opportunity to present their unique ideas and executions to the public. Their work moves people and inspires reflection—continuing the long tradition of outstanding Swiss graphic design.
Sharing success
We are expanding our commitment to sustainability and social responsibility. That is why we support non-profit organisations with free poster placements – worth CHF 2,722,486 in advertising value in the current reporting year.
Bees – now and in the future
Together with the Coop Patenschaft für Berggebiete, we specifically support projects that protect bees and preserve biodiversity – including the bee sponsorship programme.
Protecting Lake Geneva
Through a sponsorship, we support the ASL association in preserving Lake Geneva. More than 4,000 members and volunteers are committed to protecting the water quality of the lake and its tributaries in the Lake Geneva basin.
Political and regulatory engagement
Economic and social relevance
We see ourselves as an active contributor within associations and organisations in the advertising and marketing industry. Together with the Verband Aussenwerbung Schweiz (AWS), we support the “Pro Plakat” campaign and highlight the economic and social relevance of outdoor advertising:
The consequences of advertising bans
Banning or restricting posters would not only affect the advertising industry itself, but in particular local businesses, social and cultural institutions, democratic principles, as well as causing direct shortfalls in public-sector revenue. Public Information is essential for a successful social market economy and an informed, self-determined society.
Our partnerships
Behind our success as an outdoor advertising provider is a great deal of passion – for posters, customers, partners, the industry and society.
Here we show you our most important long-term engagements and commitments.
