Billboards illuminate dark alleys

Advertising agency TBWA/Paris has created billboards for the women's protection organization HandsAway that, instead of showing advertisements, illuminate streets in Paris to make them safer. As part of the "Fearless Night" campaign, 300 billboards were converted to shine 20 percent brighter than before. They are located in the dark streets of Paris, which are avoided by women, and light up between 9 p.m. and 7 a.m. so that women can feel a little safer. HandsAway wants to draw attention to the problem that many women do not dare to go out alone at night.
