WHATS-APP DESKTOP CHAT WITH BIOMETRIC AUTHENTICATION

Messaging service WhatsApp has introduced biometric authentication for its web and desktop apps. Previously, users who wanted to add their WhatsApp account to the web or desktop app simply had to scan a QR code. Now, people using a mobile device with a biometric unlock feature will have to confirm their WhatsApp account link via fingerprint, Face ID or iris recognition. They then scan the QR code as before. This is to prevent other people from linking WhatsApp accounts with other devices and thus accessing the user's messages.
