Goldbach is TV growth champion 2020

2021 The growth in the Goldbach TV network in the 12+ target group is even more evident than the growth in the E12-49 target group (plus 7.7%), with an increase of 12.5% compared to 2019. (Total market plus 3.3%).*.

"We are proud that all offers under Goldbach TV marketing have developed so excellently. Especially in times of quarantine and cozy evenings at the sofa, the content of our target group channels could exactly meet the taste of the viewers," says Goldbach Austria CEO Josef Almer.

Among all Goldbach's offerings, the development of the women's channel TLC Austria deserves special mention. In the target group of women 12-49, which is important for the channel, the market share was increased by a whole 44.6% from 0.5% to 0.8% within one year (2020)*.

Responsible for this triumph were, among other things, TLC Austria program highlights of 2020 from the "Cooking & Baking" environment, which apparently hit right at the heart of the Corona-stricken viewers.

For example, "Dallas Cakes" performed best with a total of 19.2% market share in the target group women 12-49 over the entire year, followed by "Las Vegas Cakes" with 10.4% MA. The formats "Cake Boss: Buddy's World of Cakes," "Candy Queen," "Das Große Tortenduell" and "Crazy Cakes - Die Tortenkünstler" also achieved above-average market shares in the female target group.**

TLC's True Crime formats were also very popular in 2020. It's no surprise, then, that they're also focusing on this topic in the new year. On TLC Austria, the new series "GRAVE SECRETS - TOTE ZEUGEN LÜGEN NICHT" starts on February 3. Gripping murder cases are shown from the perspective of the investigators. Judge Alexander Hold leads through the show as host.
