Heute.at breaks the sound barrier and overtakes ORF.at on cell phones

The new web analysis certifies that Heute.at already has 4.1 million readers. With around 7 million cell phones and tablets reached, Heute.at mobile even overtook ORF.

Heute.at continues to grow rapidly: On Tuesday, the independent Austrian Web Analysis (ÖWA) published the reach figures for October 2022. 4.1 million unique users are the highest value ever reported by ÖWA for Heute.at. Within one month, another 185,000 readers were added.

Last month, users accessed Heute.at from 8.77 million devices (PCs, cell phones, and tablets). The lead over the next-ranked competitor has already increased to 1.23 million (!) devices. The real sensation, however, can be seen in mobile usage: here, Heute.at (6.99 unique clients mobile) has even clearly outstripped ORF.at (6.46 million unique clients mobile).

"This means that in terms of unique clients, Heute.at is now the market leader among all Austrian news sites in mobile usage, which is crucial for the smartphone generation," Wolfgang Jansky and Bernhard Brechbühl, co-managing directors of Heute.at, are pleased with the new record figures.

Heute.at Editor-in-Chief Clemens Oistric: "I am delighted that Austrians are demanding our digital offerings in such large numbers - and on behalf of the team, I would like to express my heartfelt thanks for this loyalty."

Alexander Leitner, CCO of marketer Goldbach Audience Austria, also highlights the broad opportunities for advertisers: "Booking Heute.at means booking reach - right across the nine federal states. With Heute.at, you now reach 58.3 percent of domestic Internet users."
