Sky launches Fluid Player: Heute.at integrates Sky Sport clips into sports coverage

With Fluid Player, Sky makes its concentrated sports expertise and exclusive reporting available to domestic sports editors in digitally prepared video clips. Following its successful launch in Italy and Germany, Sky has now also launched its fully integrable player in Austria. This means that even more domestic sports enthusiasts can enjoy the high-quality reporting of Sky Sport's editorial team.

Partnership between Sky, Goldbach and Heute.at

In cooperation with Goldbach Austria, the Sky Fluid Player is already in use on Heute.at and enriches the sports coverage with high-quality video content. The focus is on easy handling and editorial freedom. Sports editors can use the content management tool to their full advantage and simply add the appropriate clips to their articles via a link. There is a choice of around 160 up-to-the-minute articles per week on the Austrian and German Bundesliga, Champions League, Premier League, tennis or NHL. The variety of formats ranges from exclusive interviews and expert analyses to highlights from shows such as "Talk und Tore," "Die Abstauber" or "Alles Taktik.

Veronika Dreer, Senior Manager Ad Sales Sky Austria: "Week after week, the Sky sports editorial team produces a wealth of exciting features, exclusive interviews and great shows, some of which are only broadcast once or never. We are delighted to have found a partner in Goldbach to make this content available to an even wider audience. Heute.at's sports coverage is already broad-based. With our clips, we hope to provide editors:inside with additional assets to engage their readership."

Wolfgang Pernkopf, Sales Director Digital at Goldbach Austria: "We are very pleased that we can now offer our customers on Heute.at Sky's premium sports content as an advertising environment. The extremely exciting target group of users with an affinity for sports, which is particularly difficult to reach in the news sector, can thus be optimally reached by means of video advertising."

Clemens Oistric, Editor-in-Chief of Heute.at: "Thanks to the new partnership with Sky, our users will receive high-quality video content on their smartphones and PCs free of charge, in a fast and attractive format. I am very pleased that we will be able to inspire our more than 800,000 daily readers with this editorial added value in the future. For all others, now would be a good opportunity to switch to Heute.at. "
