Advertising, marketing and media industry
celebrates 20 years of Goldbach Austria

600 guests turned night into day at the annual Goldbach Austria Summer Party at Palais Coburg

If you work hard, you can party hard. Hardly anyone proves this as impressively as the screen marketer Goldbach Austria. For years, the company has been known for advertising opportunities as creative as summer parties, and so this year's anniversary summer party also represented a fixed point in the calendar of well-known representatives of the advertising, media and marketing industry.

Among the 600 guests from the marketing and media industry were seen: Inez Czerny, Media1, Wolfgang Jansky and Gernot Fischer, Heute, GroupM CEO Andreas Vretscha, Karin Seywald-Czihak ÖBB Werbung, Thomas Bokesz IPG Mediabrands, Xavier Reynaud, Mindshare, Lukas Ringer, DAZN, Wolfgang Layr, Volksbank, ski jumper Manuel Fettner, Matthias Lorenz, A1, Ralf Hammerath, Virtual Minds, Philipp Böchheimer, CANAL+, Philipp Breitenecker of LG, IP Managing Director Walter Zinggl, Michael Buchbinder of ProSieben SAT1 Puls4, comedian Andreas Ferner, Verena Venturini of ÖBB, Reinhard Scheitl, Österr. Post, Silvia Kosbow, Deichmann, Tom Berger, Laola1, and many more.

The 20th birthday stands symbolically for youth, power and future. This occasion could not be more fitting for the screen marketer, as the Goldbach Youngstar annual winner is traditionally awarded as part of the Goldbach Austria Summer Festival. This year, the award went to Amazon for the second time. In 2017, the respondents of the quarterly Goldbach Youngstar survey in cooperation with the Gallup Institute already chose the online giant as the most vital brand in the country. Sarah Schulz from the media agency IPG Mediabrands accepted the Youngstar Award 2022.

The evening was hosted by Miriam Winter, who invited host Josef Almer on stage to talk about his highlights of Goldbach's 20 years: "Of the 20 years of Goldbach in Austria, I have now been allowed to be part of it for almost 15 years. And there are many personal highlights: for example, that I met my wife at Goldbach or that Robert Steiner introduced me at an event as the "boss of SpongeBob". Or that we aggregated Austria's largest DOOH network from a greenfield site. Or the marketing of Heute.at," Almer reminisces. Josef Almer was joined by Goldbach Austria CCO Alexander Leitner, as well as long-time Managing Director Maurizio Berlini. Together with Sascha Frommhund, Managing Director of dreifive, and Michi Frank, CEO of Goldbach Group, the "big five" of Goldbach Austria were in the spotlight, while also duly thanking the employees, as well as customers and partners, without whom the successful last 20 years would not have been possible.

As usual, the Goldbach entertainment program left nothing to be desired: Numerous souvenir photos were guaranteed - in addition to selfies with star guest SpongeBob SquarePants, one could capture Paramount takeaway souvenir photos, digital portraits of Virtual Minds and his likeness on the HEUTE front page to take home. Guests tried their luck at the Discovery Roulette table and had CANAL+ look into their cards. ÖBB Werbung provided soccer fun and the digital Hivestack Jump & Run Game provided additional entertainment. From 10 p.m., Goldbach's sister company dreifive invited guests to its disco (which it had quite appropriately christened "consent required") for cocktails and dance music. Speaking of music: In addition to the live band Helena May, DJs provided party atmosphere on two dance floors until the early morning hours.
