Over 4 million readers - Heute.at breaks the sound barrier

On its 15th birthday, the Austrian Web Analysis (ÖWA) shows Heute.at as having more than four million readers for the first time. That's a new all-time record.

The steep growth course continues in the new year: For the first time in the history of "Heute" publishing, the independent Austrian Web Analytics reports more than four million readers for Heute.at. Exactly 4.09 million Austrians surfed the portal in January 2022. This makes Heute.at the biggest private news site in the country - measured by unique users - for the third time in a row.

"The editorial team started the new year with a lot of momentum," say Marcel Kohler and Wolfgang Jansky. The two co-managing directors of Heute.at are pleased that the broad mix of topics, including fast news and young entertainment, has been so well received by users: "Heute.at reaches 58.2 percent of all Internet users in the country in its 15th year of existence. That's a success we wouldn't have dared to dream of at the start."

The independent Austrian Web Analysis also shows top values for Heute.at in all other measurement categories: Users accessed Heute. at from 8.6 million different devices. In the important category of unique clients, Heute .at thus remains the market leader in January among all online daily newspapers that operate individual offerings on the Internet. 46.5 million visits also mark a new all-time high.

Heute.at editor-in-chief Clemens Oistric expresses his gratitude for the great interest: "In turbulent times, our community not only remains loyal to us in large numbers, but continues to grow. In just one month, almost 140,000 new readers have joined us. On behalf of the entire team, I would like to extend a warm welcome to them."

To mark its 15th birthday, Heute.at is giving all readers an anniversary magazine on February 26 and 27 (free in all "Heute" boxes, as e-paper and online channel). In addition to highlight stories from the broad channel world - from politics and sports to motor and health - there will be an exclusive look behind the scenes of the editorial team and numerous prominent well-wishers on glossy paper.

Mag. Alexander Leitner, CCO of Goldbach Audience Austria, and "Heute" Sales Managing Director Gernot Fischer are marketing the collector's item: "The new record reach offers advertising partners of our company the best conditions to address their target groups cross-medially across the entire country."
