Goldbach - here for you since 1983
The foundation of today’s advertising marketer Goldbach was laid back in 1983 with the establishment of IP Multimedia. Initially, the company focused on operating its own radio and TV stations, such as Hitradio Z (later known as Energy Zürich).
In the late 1980s, private television began to break through in the German-speaking region. Goldbach seized this opportunity and, in 1993, introduced the first Swiss advertising windows on foreign channels like RTL.
Over the years, Goldbach underwent a significant transformation through various mergers, investments, and the sale of advertising inventory across the DACH region. The company made a strategic decision to exit earlier investments in media and content—such as Radio Energy or TV projects—and instead focus on advertising marketing as its core business.
Another major turning point in Goldbach’s history came in 2018 with its acquisition by Tamedia (now known as TX Group). Subsequent acquisitions of Neo Advertising and Clear Channel Switzerland also drove substantial growth in the area of out-of-home advertising.
Over the years, Goldbach has developed into one of the most important marketing companies in Switzerland and is now active in the areas of TV, online, audio, and out-of-home advertising.
