Goldbach and 20 Minuten enable advertising on WhatsApp channel
Effective immediately, advertisers at Goldbach can promote their products and services on the WhatsApp channel of 20 Minuten. With the new product "20 Minuten WhatsApp Boost," the advertising marketer and the news portal are thus taking on a pioneering role in terms of advertising via the new channel function on WhatsApp.
Shortly after WhatsApp launched the new channel function in Switzerland, 20 Minuten was the first Swiss media company to have its own channel on it. Together with Goldbach, the news portal is now also taking on a pioneering role in terms of advertising played out on WhatsApp news channels. Effective immediately, advertisers can promote their products and services on the 20 Minuten channel using the so-called 20 Minuten WhatsApp Boost - a sponsored teaser. In this way, they already reach over 81,000 subscribers, and the trend is rising.
Florian Sonderegger, Head of Commercial Publishing at 20 Minuten: "With the 20 Minuten WhatsApp Boost, we are the first Swiss news portal to offer an advertising option on WhatsApp channels. In this way, we take our advertising customers unfiltered and directly into the lifeworld of their target group."
The 20 Minuten WhatsApp Boost links directly from the WhatsApp channel to the advertiser's paid post in the 20 Minuten universe and brings additional page views. Together with the news articles, the teasers appear twice a day as a push message to the subscribers and thus receive the necessary attention.
