Fighting facial recognition with clothing
Italian start-up Cap_able has launched a collection of garments that confuse facial recognition programs and prevent correct registration. The pieces are designed in such a way that the recognition software either can't capture the wearer or stores him or her incorrectly, for example as a giraffe or a dog. The knitting patterns that create this effect are software-generated and adapted to the YOLO facial recognition software. The technology, which has now been patented, should enable even faster and more precise defense against automated facial recognition in the future.
