TOP-Medien, headquartered in Winterthur, employs around 100 people. The broadcasting areas essentially cover the cantons of Zurich, Thurgau, Schaffhausen and St.Gallen. RADIO TOP, which also covers the two Appenzells, finances its budget mainly from advertising revenues and partnerships.

TELE TOP, as a licensed television station, receives about 2.9 million Swiss francs per year, the rest is also financed by advertising revenues. Together, the two companies operate the TOP ONLINE news portal, which combines the services of RADIO TOP and TELE TOP in multimedia form.
