Creative, interactive New Year's wishes from Casinos Austria on DOOH screens in the Goldbach network
Casinos Austria and Goldbach Austria attracted special attention at the turn of the year with an innovative digital out-of-home (DOOH) campaign. From December 14 to 31, 2024, three animated commercials wishing people “happiness, love or health” for the New Year were played out on DOOH screens across Austria in the Goldbach Austria network. ÖBB Werbung's DOOH screens at Vienna's two most important public transport hubs, Hauptbahnhof and Westbahnhof, provided the perfect platform to present Casinos Austria's New Year's wishes to the general public, even interactively.
The highlight of the campaign: an interactive slot machine, which was developed according to an idea by and with WIEN NORD Serviceplan. Passers-by had the unique opportunity to experience their own personal New Year's luck on the ÖBB advertising screens in Vienna's main and Westbahnhof stations. With just one touch of the screen, the digital slot machine started and a random generator played out lucky wishes for the New Year.
Innovative collaboration for strong implementation
Pia Pichler and Raffaela Rotter from Casinos Austria emphasize the importance of creative and interactive approaches: “The development and implementation of this special campaign impressively demonstrates how we can use innovative ideas to place our messages in a targeted manner and reach people in a creative way.”
Evelyn Dachs, Product Manager DOOH at Goldbach Austria, also emphasizes the uniqueness of the implementation: “With this tailor-made special form of advertising, we were once again able to prove that Goldbach Austria not only implements classic campaigns in the DOOH sector with target group precision, but is also always ready to implement creative and interactive concepts that perfectly showcase brands such as Casinos Austria.”
Michael Vokurka, Key Account Manager at ÖBB Werbung, adds: “Casinos Austria and Goldbach have succeeded in bringing the advertising message into direct contact with passers-by at the station in a creative and entertaining way. The interaction possibilities of the ÖBB screens were used perfectly.”
The campaign was Casinos Austria's first special DOOH implementation and was the result of a close collaboration between dentsu Austria, Goldbach Austria, ÖBB Werbung and WIEN NORD Serviceplan. dentsu Austria was responsible for the media strategy, planning and purchasing of the interactive special implementation.
