With offices in Zurich, Vienna, Constance and Munich and over 100 employees, today's Goldbach subsidiary dreifive is one of the most successful digital agencies in the DACH region.
The agency, which later became Goldbach Interactive, emerged in 2008 from the acquisition of Orange8, Suchtreffer AG and Onemotion in Germany and Switzerland. In Austria, the agency was co-founded in 2011 by one of the two current managing directors. The agency was renamed dreifive in 2018. The core business of dreifive includes search engine marketing, display advertising, social media, creation and production as well as the development of individual campaign concepts.
As a digital agency and buyer of advertising inventory, dreifive has been able to operate independently of the Goldbach Group's advertising sales business. In recent years, the agency has successfully developed and become independent throughout Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The sale of dreifive is a logical step in the Goldbach Group's strategic focus on the marketing of advertising.
Mark Luck, Chief Strategy Officer at Goldbach, was able to accompany dreifive on its spin-off as a member of the Board of Directors. He comments on the sale as follows: "It is a pleasure to hand over dreifive to the successful management team and I wish them a successful future with a continued entrepreneurial dreifive spirit."
Marcel Oppliger and Sascha Frommhund, the two Managing Directors of dreifive: "We are grateful that the ownership has made this path possible for us. The management buyout of dreifive gives us as a DACH agency the opportunity to continue to plan sustainably and to continue to grow in the future. We are delighted to have a well-established team on board with whom we can continue to pursue our innovative, successful growth course in the DACH region in an even more agile manner in the future."
The dreifive management team thus consists of the two managing directors Marcel Oppliger and Sascha Frommhund, as well as nine long-standing heads of the agency.
The takeover is scheduled to be completed in the second quarter of 2024.
