Outdoor advertising media merge to form the Out Of Home Austria association
Vienna, November 2024 - The leading Austrian providers of analog and digital advertising space in public spaces have been working together to strengthen their public image since November 14, 2024. The Out Of Home Austria (OOHA) association was formally founded on this day. The first president of the association is Gewista CEO Franz Solta. Experienced marketing and communications expert Friederike Müller-Wernhart has been appointed as spokesperson. The OOHA association is intended to further publicize the advantages of contemporary forms of outdoor advertising and provide members with comprehensive added value. “With the founding of OOHA, we have achieved a milestone in the direction of cooperation and active design of advertising in public spaces,” says founding president Franz Solta, expressing the great expectations of the new association on behalf of the entire board. The members are Andreas Allerstorfer (Allerstorfer Werbeservice GmbH), Josef Almer (Goldbach Austria GmbH), Fred Kendlbacher (Progress Aussenwerbung Ges. mbH), Josef Maier (mw monitorwerbung gmbh), Claudia Mohr-Stradner (Epamedia GmbH), Bernd Schönegger (Ankünder GmbH), Karin Seywald-Czihak (ÖBB Werbung GmbH), Dominik Sobota (Progress Vorarlberg Werbe GmbH) and Franz Solta (Gewista Werbegesellschaft mbH). OOHA spokeswoman Friederike Müller-Wernhart sees great potential that needs to be leveraged: “The interplay of classic poster communication with all forms of digital out-of-home media is already reflecting the rapid development of consumer behavior for the future.”
In Austria, digital out-of-home advertising is growing by almost a quarter every year, and the trend is still rising. The mood at the founders' meeting, which was accompanied by the lawyers DDr. Alexander Egger and Dr. Gerald Ganzger from the law firm Lansky, Ganzger, Goeth + partner AUSTRIA, was correspondingly optimistic. On the occasion of the foundation, all association members agreed on binding standards for reach measurement in a unanimously adopted charter. The future strategic direction of the association and specific goals will be worked out together in the coming weeks.
