GVN Study 2024: 97% net reach on the Goldbach Video Network

Goldbach is conducting its eighth annual study on the use of the Goldbach Video Network (GVN). Over 1,300 people across Switzerland were surveyed on the use of various video platforms.

Küsnacht, September 3, 2024 - 97% of respondents aged between 15 and 49 are reached by the Goldbach Video Network (GVN) - this is the result of the latest GVN study on the use of various video websites in Switzerland. The most important results:

  • As in the previous year, the GVN also recorded the highest reach in 2024 compared to its competitors (on a daily, weekly and monthly basis and across all age groups).
  • A combination with the GVN brings additional reach - also cross-media.
  • In the Goldbach network, the Digital TV Network product achieves 51% and Spotify 49% monthly reach among 15- to 49-year-olds.

Goldbach Video Network impresses in all target groups
At 96%, the monthly reach among the young target group of 15- to 29-year-olds is already significantly higher than that of second-placed YouTube (85%). The differences are even more pronounced in the advertising-relevant target group of 15 to 49-year-olds. At 97%, GVN has the greatest monthly reach there, ahead of YouTube (82%), Netflix (70%) and Instagram (62%).

Reach optimization through the use of GVN
In addition to the large reach in all target groups, the study also shows that GVN provides incremental reach in combination with other video networks. "Adding our Goldbach Video Network to YouTube, for example, increases reach by 17%," explains Nicole Garcia, Head of Partner & Product Management at Goldbach Audience.

About the study
From February to March 2024, a total of 1338 15- to 64-year-olds from German-speaking and French-speaking Switzerland were asked about their use of the individual video sites. The representative survey was conducted in collaboration with Dentsu International Switzerland AG. This year's study is the eighth to be conducted.
